Today I was watching the news between sets at the gym. In between detailed coverage of that stupid fucking mccain ad the following conversation occured (paraphrased):

“Democrats claim that a $54B stimulus package is needed to boost the economy. Republicans object saying that instead we should drill for oil.”

Not covered were the opinions of disinterested professionals who devote their lives to answering questions about how to best approach problems in our world. Thanks media.

Seriously, I’m so over The Real World as embodied by popular news media and politics. The level of shit is overwhelming. I don’t even care at this point. Elect whoever the fuck you want, I will live my life independent of your stupid choice.
