Since I left you slackers in the dust on Sedaris, I’ve read a number of books… but this is the one I’ve been working through over the last few days. I highly recommend it! It’s really, really good.

If you’ve heard the name but have no idea what it’s about, it follows the lives of two separate Afghani women under Soviet and later Taliban rule. It’s heart-wrenching. Check it out.

I’ve been wanting to read this and I suppose I’ll start after we get back from the BWCA. Unless I can find a copy when buying groceries on the way out!

If only you had some sort of device that let you purchase and read books on the fly, anywhere… you could be reading it right now, at a third of the price.

But what magical device like that could there possibly be? No, no. It’s unthinkable. A fancy. Mere wishful thinking.

fuck I should buy a kindle

the next installment of The Black Company won’t be here until Tuesday :_(

on the other hand they deliver it to my office, so I can go down and play pool during lunch, then return to see a delightful Amazon.com package in my cube. Doing my best to keep you Amazon folks fed.
A cromulent graph embiggens the smallest idea.
