Ok, I know it is but August 15, but Sam called me the other day wondering what my plans were for “winter break” so he could buy plane tickets to the Cities. The biggest question, I guess, is when do we have Christmas Dinner? I vote for earlier than the 23rd this year, since we’re all out of school and everything. My vote is for the 20th (a Saturday) or the 21st (a Sunday). Your thoughts? (You guys can/should also use this thread to coordinate your “winter break” arrivals and departures to maximize seeing time)

Saturday the 20th will probably end up working better for me…

I don’t really know yet. All I know is I’ll be home some time around then. But I think it depends on whether we’ll have critical mass in MN for new years’. If we will, then I’ll probably stay a while after christmas, in which case I probably wouldn’t be there on the 20th.

Sara and I will be in the Frozen North. Not Minnesota… Alaska!

Huh, how exciting! I hear it’s lovely up there.

Ok, I’m going to prompt this question again: does anybody have a better idea about the 20th? Adam, thank you for your input. Cameron, enjoy Alaska! I’m jealous.
Andy: when do you think you’ll know?
Sam: tell me if that day works for you.
I’m hoping to get a bigger crowd this year (Zach and Julie, Tim and Marta, maybe others), so I want to make these plans as far in advance as possible so we can get everyone together.

Alright, I’ll probably shoot for this and plan to be in Seattle for NYE. In for 20th.
